Dots and Dashes
A fun and exciting skill game to be played with your children. What you need
- Two players
- Pencils
- Paper
What to do
- First, draw lots of rows of dots on the paper.
- The number of dots
you draw will determine how long the game will last.
- The players now take it in turns to draw a line connecting one
dot to another.
- You can draw the lines in any direction but not
diagonally.
- The aim of the game is to form squares between four of
the dots.
- The person who draws the last line which forms a square 'owns'
that square and writes their initial in it. They then have another
turn.
- If a single line makes two squares, that player 'owns' both
squares but only gets one more turn.
- Help your children with the
strategies of the game so they understand not to make it too easy
for their opponent.
- At the end, tally up the squares to see who is the winner.
