This activity can be fun and exciting. They will be given time to
practise dressing up and helps them develop their creativity.
What you need
Cardboard box
Scissors
Old magazines
Glue
Variety of dressing-up clothes and props
What to do
Let your children help decorate a cardboard box to hold the
dressing-up things.
Let them cut out magazine pictures and 'collage'
them all over the box until it is totally covered.
While they are busy
doing this, collect the clothes and props to put in it.
The dressing-up collections might include necklaces, bangles,
clip-on earrings, shorts and T-shirts, coats, trousers, ties, belts
dresses and skirts (the frillier the better), lacy nighties and
petticoats, stockings ot tights, shoes and boots, handbags, purses
and wallets, scarves, shawls and glasses (without the lenses).
Birthday or Christmas gifts might include a
special dressing-up outfit such as a fairy costume, Batman or pirate gear.
