Go-Togethers

Help develop your children's thinking and language skills through this activity.

What you need

  • Pillowcase and tray
  • Objects that go together: cup and saucer, pencil and rubber, pen and lid, knife and fork, toothbrush and toothpaste, hairbrush and comb, needle and cotton, key and lock, hammer and nail, shoe and sock.

What to do

  • Explain the object of the game to your children then put half the objects on a tray for your children to see.
  • Place the other half of the 'go-togethers' in a pillowcase.
  • Your children have to reach in, feel an object, guess what it is and then say what it goes with.
  • For example, 'it feels like a sock and it goes with the shoe'.
