What to do
On wet days, try to set up an indoor obstacle course for your
children to play.
Some ideas:
Crawl through the legs of the dining room chairs
Crawl under a coffee table (watch those heads)
Tie a cord between two chairs for the children to slide under on
their tummies
make a tunnel out of chairs, cushions and a rug
Play leap frog, stepping from towel (only on a carpet so they don't
slip)
Tie some balloons under a table and crawl through without moving any
Roll up some towels and make a long 'balance beam'
For the older children (or when your children need new challenges)
let them try the course balancing a beanbag on their heads, or do it
holding a sock in each hand.
Time them to see who completed the course in the shortest time. Graph
the results together.
Your children will enjoy altering the course but make sure you
emphasize the safety aspect and check their alterations.
